Fired 'Housewives' Actor Reveals He Contemplated Suicide
December 22 , 2005

Page Kennedy played the mysterious man hidden in Alfre Woodardís Wisteria Lane basement on "Desperate Housewives," but then the actor suddenly lost his dream job. Now, Page is sitting down with "Extra" for his first in-dept interview to clear up the rumors about why he was fired.

"I was excited and my favorite actress was playing my mom," Kennedy told us. "Drugs, being drunk, it's just ridiculous because none of these stories are true."

Page, who has been rapping since he was 7 years old, has turned the painful experience into a song. "Hold On" includes a startling verse revealing that Kennedy actually contemplated suicide after losing his job on the show.

"That thought obviously crossed my mind," he admitted. "I could never do anything like that because for one, I am not to be defeated, and I have people here that need me."

Page has had roles on hit shows like "NYPD Blue," "The Shield" and "Six Feet Under." Most recently, he made his big-screen debut in Usherís "In the Mix." Page now has other acting projects and an upcoming CD, "Life after Wisteria Lane."

"I'm still working, it hasn't stopped," he said.

Kennedy also admitted that being fired from "Housewives" hasnít stopped him from watching his former naughty neighbors. "I still have and I still will," he said. "I had a wonderful time on the show. I love that show, but Iím moving on."
