Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shopping for wedding rings? The lovely Jolie was spotted in Los Angeles Wednesday browsing inside a jewelry and antiques store. Around that same time, Pitt was strolling the aisles of Cartier.

There's no word on what the pair actually bought. Later that night, Pitt rode solo on his motorcycle after dinner with a friend at Providence, one of LA's hippest new restaurants.

Meanwhile, a newly-single Jessica Simpson shopped with her mom and a friend in LA Wednesday. According to published reports, Simpson has left the mansion she shared with Nick Lachey on "The Newlyweds" and has moved in with her mom.

Nick was spotted giving photographers the thumbs-up sign in New York Wednesday.

At the LA premiere of "The Ringer," Jessica's "Dukes of Hazard" co-star Johnny Knoxville told "Extra" he wishes the two well, saying, "That's a tough one for her and her husband. My heart goes out to them."

Just weeks after splitting with her husband, Christina Applegate may have found love again. She is reportedly dating an Alaskan man described as a "fisherman," a "rocker" and a "skateboarder."

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent their Wednesday night in Manhattan for one of Tom's must important missions: his annual fundraiser for the heroes of 9/11. Cruise helped raise money for his New York rescue workers detoxification project, which he founded in 2002 to help heal first responders exposed to toxic air during 9/11.

"I was in a position where I knew I could help," Cruise said.

But some have criticized the Scientology-based detox program, which prescribes sauna, exercise and large doses of vitamins and minerals instead of medication. Tom, however, says the program has already helped 500 people, like firefighter Tim Duggy.

"I know for a fact this program is going to elongate my life," Duggy said.

Tom raised $1.6 million Wednesday night so more rescue workers can get free treatment.
