Carmen Brings Competition to 'Summerland'
December 21, 2004 Look
who's kicking up the sand in "Summerland"
-- it's one of the original "Baywatch" babes,
Carmen Electra, heading to The WB's breakout beach town
drama for its second season, starting in January.
"I get to come onto the show and stir things up!"
Carmen enthused. "It's always fun to be the bad
girl!"
Only "Extra" was on the set when Carmen's
character -- a spitfire divorcee -- sweeps into the
life of hunky Shawn Christian, AKA Johnny Durant. "Yeah,
Carmen stirs it up for Johnny," Shawn told us.
Lori Loughlin, who stars on the show as a single woman
raising her late sister's kids, told us that Carmen's
five episode appearance is sure to shake things up:
"Bring in another woman, now there's competition."
But Carmen insists her character's not really bad --
just misunderstood. "I think I'm just a really
sensitive person. And when you're super, super sensitive,
you almost have to put a shield up, " Carmen explained.
"And I think that sometimes comes off as being
sort of a bad girl."
Don't miss bad girl Carmen bringing her sensitivity
to the shores of "Summerland," this January
on The WB.
