Move over Catherine Bach, because Jessica Simpson is the new Daisy Duke, and she’s showing "Extra" a little southern hospitality (along with those famous shorts) on the set of her sizzling big-screen debut, "The Dukes of Hazzard."

Jess admitted the role inspired her to get in the best shape of her life: "I've had to shoot all kinds of bathing suit scenes, full on bikinis; it's great fun let me tell you, but my husband is in heaven."

So what is Jessica doing to maintain that Daisy Duke figure? "I work out six days a week and I’m doing, like, two-and-a-half hours a day," she revealed. Which led us to another Jessica Simpson rumor: is a workout video to come?

"I’m definitely going to be doing a workout video," she revealed.

So how do Bo and Luke Duke, a.k.a. Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville feel about the new Daisy? "It’s her first film ever, and she’s really composed," Johnny told us. "I though she’d be nervous and she says she is, but she looks great on film and she looks great in those daisy dukes."

But Nick's still the only man for Jessica, and she says their highly-rated Christmas special helped them deal with all those tabloids. "It reassured us that people still like us as a couple, and they don't believe all the covers and rumors," Jessica said. "It really made us feel good about our relationship again."

And Jessica’s sure to make us all feel good, when she heats up the screen in "The Dukes of Hazzard," next summer.
