‘Extra’ Takes Over Wisteria Lane
November 2, 2006

You’ve heard the horrifying screams and the earth-shattering gun shots, and you’ve seen the blood splatters.

Now, beautiful “Housewife” Teri Hatcher is taking “Extra” inside Sunday night’s deadly “Desperate Housewives” episode, where somebody is going to die.

“It’s one of the best deaths I’ve seen written in a long time,” she admitted.

Meanwhile, newlywed Marcia Cross broke baby news about her twins, dishing, “I’m growing rapidly now.”

The neighborhood plumber, James Denton, dropped a bombshell about his job performance.

“I wouldn’t say that it’s been a failure by any means, but I’d say there’s more to Mike than I’ve really found,” James confessed.

Only “Extra” was allowed where no cameras have gone before, in search of the answer to the biggest question on television this season. Who gets killed when gunshots ring at the grocery store?

“I’m not inside,” Teri revealed. “But you know bullets can go through glass, and thus the mystery.”

For Marcia Cross, there is no mystery about how the show will handle her ever-expanding belly.

“I’m hiding behind things; boxes and trays,” the beauty told us.
The red-hot knockout admitted she’s nervous about her impending double dose of fun.

“How can you not be?” she said. “Because it’s just a daunting task to do it well, and I’m terrified. [But] I can’t wait to meet them.”

Nicollette Sheridan’s character, Edie, is helping Mike the Plumber back to life this season. But the soon-to-be Mrs. Michael Bolton confessed that one scene was cut after ABC declared it to be too hot for Sunday night primetime TV.

“They were trying to find another take that somehow they could edit,” she explained.

Teri also revealed that while she loves acting, she wouldn’t mind a career change.

“I would love not to be famous,” she said. “I’m producing a TV show and working on movie. I just think for the journey of my life, 50, 55, 60, it would be nice to have something else to count on than being in front of the camera.”

And perhaps once she makes that career change, Teri can think about dating. The actress revealed that as of now, she’s “not dating at all.”

If Teri won’t find love in real life, will her on-screen character Susan find true love? Or will she be killed before she has the chance?

Tune in to Sunday night’s “Desperate Housewives” to find out!
