'Extra' Spends a Wild Weekend with the 'Housewives'
November 21, 2005
The women of Wisteria Lane stayed busy from coast to coast this weekend, and "Extra" was with the lovely ladies every step of the way.
Eva Longoria hosted "Saturday Night Live," and no one from Wisteria was spared as Eva spoofed Teri, the gardener and that infamous Vanity Fair cover shoot.
Then it was off to the "SNL" after party, where we spotted Longoria sporting boyfriend Tony Parker's lucky number nine.
So what did Hatcher think of Eva's "SNL" skit? "I didn't see it," she admitted.
But Teri had a good reason; she was busy Saturday night accepting the Spirit of Hollywood Award for her work with cancer charities. "On this show to have such a high profile, one of the main things you can do is raise money and get people to show up," she said.
Hatcher donned a gorgeous green Valentino number for the evening, but she told "Extra" she still has a tough time getting a date. "My love life is so uninteresting," she admitted. "Hopefully it will get exciting and when it does, I swear to God you'll be the first to know."
Later that night Teri showed up solo, and with a gift in hand, to Nicollette Sheridan's birthday bash on the Sunset Strip. Co-Star Marcia Cross was also there with her fiancÚ.
Sheridan, wearing a stunning Armani get-up, received a $50,000 rock from Diamonds International. She then donated one of her own to an animal rescue charity.
On Sunday, Teri was at it again, hosting the tree lighting ceremony at the Los Angeles hotspot The Grove. The actress teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make a special child's wish come true.
"He asked for a puppy," Hatcher told us. "And Santa is going to bring him a puppy. If I get through this show without crying, it'll be amazing!"
With Hatcher by his side, 8-year-old Jose got his puppy.
Meanwhile, 26 million viewers were back at home watching Hatcher and her co-stars in action on Wisteria Lane, proving that America just can't get enough of those "Desperate Housewives."
