America flinched when they watched the previews for next week's episode of "Desperate Housewives," which claimed "One 'Desperate Housewife' will be gone forever." "Extra" hooked up with Wisteria Lane's resident hottie, James Denton, in his hometown of Nashville, and we wasted no time asking him the question that 23 million fans are dying to find out -- which one is it?

"I don't know if they ever said it was one of the housewives," countered James.

So who could it be? The gardener? Gabrielle's suspicious spouse? Or what about Edie, the neighborhood tramp? "If you think about it, you can really put it together," James insisted.

Oh, how life has changed for this Nashville boy since he moved into the "Wives" neighborhood. Denton told us, "I've got to learn that I can't stop and talk for fifteen minutes with everyone that wants to talk about the show. I don't even go to the grocery store anymore, even after five episodes, it's just too hard to get out."

Teri Hatcher's on-screen love interest was in Nashville helping a local radio station with its annual food and toy drive. "It's great to be here and be able to give something back," said Denton.

And while he gave back, fans lined up for the new member of People's 50 Most Beautiful list to ask him their own burning question: what's it like to go to work every day and get paid to kiss Teri Hatcher?

"It's a pretty good gig, let me just tell you," James responded.
