Keith Urban Faces Battle with the Bottle
October 20, 2006
It's Nicole Kidman's new husband in crisis.
"Extra" confirmed Friday that country superstar Keith Urban voluntarily checked himself into rehab Thursday night with his beautiful wife by his side as he battles alcoholism.
In a surprising apology to Nicole, Keith said, "I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones that love and support me."
Keith and Nic married last June in a fairytale wedding in their native Australia. Before they tied the knot, Keith admitted to being in rehab once before for a reported addiction to cocaine.
"One can never let one's guard down on recovery, and I'm afraid that I have," Keith said in a statement. "With the strength and unwavering support I am blessed to have from my wife, I am determined and resolved to a positive outcome."
The Beatle divorce is getting uglier by the minute. Friday's London Sun reports that Sir Paul McCartney is so shell shocked by Heather Mills claiming he physically abused her that he's now attending therapy.
The stunning story also claims that the only thing keeping the music legend from a breakdown is his children.
Longtime McCartney friend, Peter Price, responded to Heather's sensational court papers, which say Paul allegedly choked and stabbed Heather with a wine glass.
"She is trying desperately to destroy a legend," Price said. "She's destroying a national treasure."
Heather's enemies agree, claiming she went public with the dirty claims in an effort to blackmail Paul for a huge share of his billion dollar Beatles fortune.
But Paul isn't the only one with friends by his side; Heather's pals are also going public, and "Extra" has the exclusive with her American publicist and close friend Michelle Elizabeth.
"She would have never leaked those papers," Elizabeth assured us.
Meanwhile, it's breaking Brangelina baby news, as "Extra" captures the first pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's beautiful baby girl out in public.
We spotted the famous duo in India where they are currently filming "A Mighty Heart," based on the real-life story of Daniel Pearl.
While you can't see Brad, he is next to Angie, but the superstar managed to stay out of the picture. But who is the guy cradling Baby Zahara?
That man is none other than Mickey Brett, the burly Brangelina bodyguard who famously choked a paparazzo when he snapped photos of the super mom.
While the Jolie-Pitt clan enjoys their family time in India, Bobby Brown is singing the blues stateside.
"Extra" scored a copy of Brown and Whitney Houston's divorce papers, in which Whitney cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the bust-up. She's also asking for physical and legal custody on their daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
However, there won't be a big bucks battle in this divorce; according to papers, there is a pre-nup.
As Whitney and Bobby simmer down, one Hollywood hunk is steaming things up!
Mr. and Mrs. McSteamy, a.k.a. "Grey's Anatomy" doc Eric Dane and beautiful wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, made the temperature rise in Los Angeles Thursday as they stepped out for a red carpet benefit hosted by Esquire magazine.
