Fellow 'Angel' Rushes to Farrah Fawcett's Side
October 9, 2006

As Farrah Fawcett wages war on intestinal cancer, an angel of mercy is coming to her side.

"She's great, and she's going to be fine," revealed Jaclyn Smith, who starred with Farrah in the hit show, "Charlie's Angels." "In fact, she made me laugh."

The friends reunited for a dramatic "Charlie's Angels" appearance at this year's Emmy Awards, and now, Jaclyn tells "Extra" her friend is putting up a brave fight.

"She is handling this like she handles everything else in her life, with strength and courage and a positive attitude," Jaclyn said.

Jaclyn, who won her own battle with breast cancer, showed "Extra" her latest K-Mart clothing line on Monday. She also announced that all proceeds this month will go to fighting the disease.

"I feel very fortunate to work with a company, like K-Mart, who is so socially aware," she praised the popular store.

And Farrah is fortunate to have a friend like Jaclyn.

"She said, 'I'm coming to your house every night,'" Jaclyn said. "Because I eat very healthy. She's right down the street, so she'll come, and we'll just stay healthy together."

But Jaclyn isn't the only source of love and strength in Farrah's life right now. Also helping her through this tough time is her ex, Ryan O'Neal.

Several reports allege that Fawcett and her former flame moved in together following her devastating diagnosis.

Farrah was by Ryan's side in 2001 when he was stricken with leukemia. After going into remission, Ryan told our "Extra" he was hoping to reconcile with Farrah.

"Who knows; we have a beautiful son and anything's possible," Ryan confessed.

Meanwhile, Farrah has issued this statement on her website: "I am so grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of concern, love, prayers and compassion. I am determined to bite the bullet and fight the fight."
