October 6, 2006

Get ready for Brad Pitt like you’ve never seen him before!

Only “Extra” can show you a brand-new scene from Brad’s much-anticipated movie, “Babel,” about a couple on vacation who become embroiled in an international incident after Brad’s wife, played by Cate Blanchett, is shot.

In “Babel,” Brad shows a whole other side of his acting range, brought out by “21 Grams” director Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Brad sang Alejandro’s praises to “Extra’s” Jerry Penacoli in Toronto, revealing why he pursued this buzzed about role.

“I’m a big fan of Alejandro’s, and I really like the way this man tells a story,” Brad said.

The sexy actor also admitted that this role is his most challenging to date because of the stress he had to portray on screen.

“To maintain that high level of anxiety, I did not understand going into it how difficult it would be to maintain that on an acting level,” Brad admitted.

Brad’s beautiful co-star Cate Blanchett confirmed to us, this is a side of the star no one has ever been privy to.

“Alejandro wanted to sort of show an aspect of Brad that wouldn’t necessarily readily come to mind,” she said. “It’s just a re-awakening, maybe.”

Brad and Cate’s big adventure, “Babel,” hits theaters Oct. 27.
