Emotions Run High on ‘Dancing' Floor
October 4, 2006

It had all the drama of a Hollywood soap opera, as Tuesday night's "Dancing with the Stars" looked more like an episode of "Desperate Housewives." Complete with "Desperate" staple Eva Longoria, who was there to support close friend Mario Lopez.

"Team Mario!" the beauty said. "We've been friends for over 20 years. And he just did so great tonight!"

After being scolded on last week's show for his lifts and show-off moves, Mario was all smiles Tuesday night as he let Miss Longoria be the rule breaker.

"Here's the funny thing," he said. "I've been called the rule breaker and the bad boy these past couple weeks. They made a rule today, ‘No t-shirts in the audience,' and Eva stayed up last night making these t-shirts," Mario laughed.

Eva came amidst reports of a breakup with longtime beau Tony Parker, and that immediately started tongues wagging about a love connection with hunky Lopez.

But the beautiful "Housewife" told us everyone should stay calm. "There's this terrible rumor every time Mario and I hang out that we're dating," she said. "And it's so not true; it couldn't be further from the truth."

In fact, Eva told E! News' Ryan Seacrest that she's actually headed for Paris where, despite breakup rumors, she plans on re-uniting with Tony.

Speaking of Paris, things really started to heat up after hours when former season three contestant Shanna Moakler and dancing pro Cheryl Burke went to the trendy Hollywood hot spot Hyde after the show rapped.

The only problem? Paris Hilton was there, and TMZ.com recently caught the hotel heiress macking with Shanna's ex, Travis Barker. And a catfight promptly ensued.

According to Paris' rep, Elliot Mintz, who accompanied the hotel heiress to the Hollywood police station afterward, Miss Hilton is now pressing charges.

"She was hit directly in the face," he dished.

But not to be outdone, Shanna also reportedly filed her own complaint against Paris' former flame, Stavros Niarchos, for allegedly pouring a drink over her head.

This sounds more like an episode of "Jerry Springer" if you ask us.

The irony of the catfight is that the lovable Jerry experienced one of the most touching moments of his life Tuesday night.

"Here was something that wasn't showbiz at all," Jerry confessed. "It was just what is really meaningful in life."

If you recall, Jerry joined "Dancing with the Stars" to learn the waltz, so he could dance with his daughter Katie at her upcoming wedding.

"I looked over and saw Katie," Jerry said. "The whole rest of the dance, if you notice, I'm looking up. I mean way up; that's what I'm thinking.  The judges didn't get on me for that. I thought they'd say, ‘Where were you looking?'"

"So touching, he's doing it for all the right reasons," Carrie Ann gushed.

So who will face elimination Wednesday night? Carrie Ann thinks it may be time for country cutie Sara Evans to pack her bags and head home.

"By our scores, I think the judges are saying she's our choice to go," Carrie said.

Find out who will stay and who will go, Wednesday night on ABC!
