It's official: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are expecting a baby! Katie's spokesperson confirmed the happy news to "Extra" this afternoon, but it's been something the couple has talked about since their whirlwind engagement.

It was just a few months ago that Cruise told "Extra" he was already thinking about the possibility of children with his bride-to-be.

Cruise already has two children with his previous wife, Nicole Kidman.

As for Holmes, there is no word yet when the baby is due, but Cruise's people told us, "Tom and Katie are very excited, and the entire family is very excited."
