'Miss Congeniality' Confessionals
October 27, 2004 The
world fell in love with Gracie Hart, the lovable FBI
agent-turned-beauty-pageant-contestant in "Miss
Congeniality," and now Sandra Bullock is back and
showing off her elbow-elbow-wrist-wrist wave once again
in the sequel, "Armed and Fabulous."
"Extra's" special correspondent Jill Rappaport
from the "Today" show went on a behind-the-scenes
mission to get the lowdown on the sequel, and fill all
us fans in on every detail. Miss Bullock's Texas hospitality
shined through during the interview, as she told Jill
all about her life, her new movie and her role behind
the camera.
Jill Rapaport: I got the feeling from watching the first
"Miss Congeniality" that the two of you, Gracie
and Sandy, are very much alike.
Sandra Bullock: She's a lot more forthright than I am
and a lot more comfortable with herself than I am also.
JR: How about dealing with the fame aspect?
SB: I don't really like dealing with it. I don't deal
with it very well.
JR: That's shocking.
But Sandra's struggle with fame all changes when she
steps behind the camera. Bullock's production company,
Fortis Films, has generated more than $600 million from
film and TV projects such as "The George Lopez
Show."
JR: I don't think many of your fans know you as Sandra
Bullock the producer.
SB: That's boring. Well, I mean, it's not...
JR: It's not exciting.
SB: Well, it's not as exciting as who I might be dating
or you know what kind of lip gloss I might be wearing,
come on.
You can catch Jill's entire interview with Sandra Bullock
Thursday morning on the "Today" show.
