Scaring Sarah

Sexy Sarah Michelle Gellar plays an American in Japan who's being haunted by a supernatural curse in her upcoming film, "The Grudge." Like "The Ring," the movie is a re-make of a hit Japanese horror film that spawned a series of scary films.

You would have thought that after years of staking scary vamps, 27-year-old Sarah Michelle would be beyond fear, but she admitted to "Extra" she really was scared during shooting, especially the shower scene. "Even though I knew it was coming, the music and the shots, it sucks you in," Sarah Michelle confessed.

The entire movie was shot in Tokyo, which meant Sarah Michelle spent three months away from her handsome hubby Freddie Prinze, Jr. And although she missed him, Gellar told us, "I loved every minute of it. I was really spoiled. I was so excited, and I want to go and travel and experience."

But she did let "Extra" in on a little secret -- the special present that she snuck through customs for Freddie: "We got a samurai, a true samurai sword, which is an incredibly difficult feat to get out of the country, but we managed."

"The Grudge" hits theaters October 22nd.
