Here Come the Holidays
October 15, 2004 Ben Affleck fans are in luck -- the hot star is headed back to the big screen in his quirky holiday comedy, "Surviving Christmas." But at the film's red carpet premiere, Affleck made quite an admission to "Extra:" he'd rather have been at home watching his beloved Boston Red Sox battle it out with the Yankees in the playoffs. Good thing the Sox had the night off. "Otherwise I'd be watching TV," Ben insisted.
Affleck wasn't the only big name getting some serious
attention Thursday night. James Gandolfini, who plays
Ben's surrogate father and Ben's onscreen love interest,
Christina Applegate, also made the rounds, along with
co-star Jennifer Morrison.
It seems Ben took to heart the fun he had with his co-stars. He revealed to "Extra" that he'd like to make more comedies like "Surviving Christmas." "They're more fun to make," he said. "I do fall off banisters, physical gags that f***** up Jerry Lewis pretty good."
No one could get enough Ben, Thursday night. We even delivered a Christmas wish of sorts to the star from Charlie Sheen, who asked for his old pal to guest star on his hit comedy, "Two and a Half Men."
"Ben, if you're not too busy, we'd love to have you," Sheen requested. "Put down the cards and the chips and come join us."
"Sure, of course," Affleck responded to the offer. "It would be a lot of fun. You know what, give me a call, you have your people call my people."
You can catch "Surviving Christmas" when it hits theatres next Friday.
