Dreams Come True
October 11, 2004 It certainly doesn't get sweeter than this little slice of heaven: a hot movie, a spectacular location and a sizzling cast, as Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek star as red-hot lovers -- not to mention jewel thieves -- who are retiring to the Bahamas in "After the Sunset."
And talk about chemistry, it seems Salma has been a fan of Pierce's for some time: "When I was living in Mexico and I didn't even know I was going to be an actress, I used to have a crush on him back in 'Remington Steele,'" she told us. "That was my dream man! Little did I know that one day I would be in the Bahamas on a beach kissing him!"
So why is it that Pierce always seems to be in these exotic locales with beautiful women like Salma? "It's in the contract," he joked to us. "It's there. And it's not too shabby going to work with Salma."
Pierce is no stranger to the beautiful women, with his bevy of Bond girls and his real-life leading lady, wife Keely Shaye Smith. "I have a great wife, a good life, good children," he admitted. "That's where the heart is."
So does his family affect the roles Pierce considers? "My youngest is three and my oldest is seven," Pierce explained. "They've grown up with me as James Bond, and daddy's not, daddy's an actor, pretending."
At 52 years old, Pierce is still one of the hottest guys in Hollywood. Salma says, "He's gorgeous, and he's a gentleman, and he's a lovely human being. There is no age for that kind of quality. It goes on forever."
And, ever the gentleman, Pierce had his own raves for Salma, telling us "When she's on screen, there's no one else."
We agree with both of you.
