Eva and Tony Call It Quits
September 29, 2006
A source close to Eva Longoria and Tony Parker has confirmed to "Extra" that the couple has called it quits.
The former couple, who dated for almost two years, issued a statement via Longoria's publicist on Friday.
"Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any couple with very demanding careers," Eva's publicist said.
However, it has been confirmed by "Extra" that the couple is no longer dating. Tune into "Extra" for more on the story.
Another Hollywood couple is making headlines, but this time it's for reportedly saying "I do.”
Anna Nicole Smith insisted on Friday that she did not marry her lover-lawyer, Howard K. Stern.
"Extra” confirmed that Anna and Howard did exchange vows in the Bahamas on Thursday, but we've learned it was just a commitment ceremony.
Now for the big question lurking: will there be a paternity battle between Stern and Anna's ex, Larry Birkhead? Both men claim they fathered Anna's new baby girl.
Under Bahamian law, whoever is Anna's husband is automatically considered the father. But Thursday's commitment ceremony is not considered a legal marriage and that could mean a battle is brewing.
On Friday, Star magazine Editor Jill Dobson said she stands by the Star's story that Anna Nicole and Stern are now officially hitched.
"They did not get a formal marriage certificate, but it certainly looked like a wedding to the guests that were present," Dobson dished, adding, "Anna Nicole wore a white linen dress."
Like Anna Nicole, Lindsay Lohan and her main squeeze are making everyone play the guessing game.
In an "Extra” exclusive on Thursday, Harry Morton, owner of the Pink Taco restaurant chain, told our Carlos Diaz that he and Lindsay are cooling things down.
"We're just sort of taking a little breather right now,” Harry said.
But are they currently on-again or off-again?
We just spotted Lindsay and Harry together at The Ivy in Beverly Hills, where Lindsay was asked if they're still dating.
"Yes,” was all the teen queen said.
Finally, the plug has been pulled on his daytime talk show, and now, like his professional life, Tony Danza's marriage is getting shortchanged too.
Danza is separating from his wife after 20 years of marriage. Word is that stress over the cancellation of his show helped cause his marriage to hit the rocks.
