Fall Makeup: Stealing Secrets from the 50’s Screen Sirens
September 19, 2006

Trendsetter Scarlett Johansson is already showing off the scarlet fever that is makeup’s biggest new statement for fall.

“The big trend for nighttime is called la dolce vita," revealed MAC makeup artist Tiffany Johnston. “Think waking up in the morning and you are just sexy."

“Extra" was there as Tiffany, a senior makeup designer, transformed LA model Melissa Jean from sweet to saucy. Tiffany also broke down the must-have items that will help you create the siren look at home.

First, eyebrows are key. “They really add a structure to the eye," she emphasized.

Next, go for smoky eyes using a little taupe. Top that with dark eyeliner and shadow, which you can apply as high as the crease. This fall, she challenged, dare to be bold!

The final touch is fall’s biggest nighttime fashion statement: red lipstick.

“If you know that you are not comfortable with red, start out with tinted lip-gloss first," Tiffany suggested.

And va va voom, what a sexy transformation!
