Runway for Life: The Stars Get Gorgeous for a Good Cause
September 18, 2006

High-end fashion met high-voltage star power this weekend as Cybill Shepherd, Lisa Rinna and Cindy Crawford struck a pose at the 4th annual Runway for Life Benefit for St. Jude Children's Hospital.

"I lost a brother to leukemia when I was 10 and he was four," Crawford told us. "I wish he would have been able to go to St. Jude's."

Cindy, who served as the night's honorary chair, first wowed the Beverly Hills crowd in a black cocktail dress and then worked a hot pink silk gown.
Backstage, the stars shared their secrets only with "Extra's" Teri Seymour, and Cindy's beauty past may surprise you.

"My mom didn't wear makeup," Cindy revealed. "When I started modeling, it was really an introduction to a whole new world."

The event was a family affair for Marlo Thomas, whose late father Danny founded St. Jude. "It was Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and all those guys," Thomas revealed. "Now young Hollywood comes, and that's very exciting."

Runway for Life raised over $2.2 million for St. Jude.
