Lindsay Lohan Breaks Down in London Airport
September 8, 2006

Lindsay Lohan stepped into a former role on Thursday when a stroke of bad luck hit her hard in London.

The teen queen lost it after her Hermes bag filled with jewelry was stolen in London's Heathrow Airport.

Boyfriend Harry Morton tried to comfort the distraught Lindsay outside the airport, where someone made off with a million dollars in loot.

As "Extra" first reported, Morton bought an engagement ring at Cartier in Beverly Hills last week before their European trip.

Lohan's orange Hermes bag, valued at $5,000 by TMZ.com, was recovered in additon to her pricey, precious gems.

While Lindsay recovers from her stressful day abroad, Christie Brinkley is breaking her silence.

The beautiful supermodel spoke out for the first time since her bust-up with philandering husband Peter Cook.

Brinkley opened up to "Today's" Jill Rappaport, who first introduced the model to her future husband. The uptown girl admitted that her daughter with piano man Billy Joel has been her rock.

"My kids have just been the best," she revealed. "Alexa is just such an amazing daughter and such an incredibly insightful and sensitive and caring person."

Alexa, who is 20, is launching her own musical career. She recently wrote a song about Peter's affair entitled "Now It's Gone."

Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Costner were singing a different tune at their D.C. premiere of "The Guardian."

It was double date night for the co-stars, as Kutcher shared some tender moments with wife, Demi Moore and Kevin Costner and his wife Christine Baumgartner stopped traffic on the red carpet.

Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson dished about her love life in Burbank, Calif.

"I wish I was in love," the darling diva admitted to Ellen DeGeneres on her Emmy Award winning show. "I need to be in love."

That was Jessica's confession to Ellen that, yes, she is in fact single. On Monday's show, the singer hints that publicity may have doomed her reported relationship with John Mayer.

So why is someone with so much energy, beauty and charisma still single? Jessica has her own theories: "I think I'm too hard to be in love with. It ends up on the cover of every magazine. I scare people away!"
