Emmy Parties Rock Hollywood
September 19 , 2005 Sure
the Emmy Awards are entertaining, but one of the most
exciting parts of TV’s biggest night is what happens
after the show -- the parties! And the place to be on
Sunday night was the landmark Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel,
where "Extra" teamed up with TV Guide and
Inside TV to throw the biggest, hottest Emmy blowout
ever!
Dove chocolates satisfied the stars’ sweet tooths, and
LipFusion helped guests pucker up with collagen lip
plumpers.
Stars were grooving as DJ AM spun his magic on the turntables,
while Missy Elliot worked her beats on the stage.
"Desperate Housewives" star Teri Hatcher attended
the event, celebrating the Emmy win of her naughty neighbor,
Felicity Huffman. "We are all so proud of her,"
Hatcher said. "And you know, we are all so happy
to be on the show."
Also at the after party were Emmy winner Felicity Huffman
and her husband, William H. Macy. And Huffman was so
excited about her Emmy that she wouldn’t set it down,
although she did admit that she was anxious to get home
to her kids.
Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson arrived solo, without husband
Nick Lachey or her wedding ring. And Simpson said that
although "Everybody Loves Raymond" won the
Emmy for Best Comedy, she is a diehard "Desperate
Housewives" fan. "Even though it didn’t win
tonight, it is my favorite show," she said. "I
love it."
And with less than 48 hours to go before her highly-anticipated
dance-off against John O’Hurley, "Dancing with
the Stars" champion Kelly Monaco was ready to party
like a rock star. She even did a little rumor control
for us, confirming that Wisteria Lane might just be
in her future.
Meanwhile, back at the Shrine Auditorium, Jon Kelley
was inside the Governor’s Ball, where we spotted Eva
Longoria feeding her co-star Ricardo Chavira, Nicollette
Sheridan beaming by fiancé Niklas Soderblom’s side and
Mandy Moore hanging with her man Zach Braff.
Over at HBO’s post-Emmy party, stars including Jason
Bateman, Chris O'Donnell, Matthew Fox, Ray Romano and
Halle Berry partied the night away.
And at Showtime’s bash, Emmy winner Blythe Danner hung
out with her "Huff" co-stars, Hank Azaria
and Oliver Platt. And while Platt didn’t win an Emmy,
he did get the one and only Sharon Stone to cozy up
to him. Now there’s another classic post-Emmy moment
to remember!
