Hurley Fights Breast Cancer at Fashion Week
September 16, 2005

There’s no doubt people flock to New York City every year for Fashion Week to see the hottest designers and their daring clothes. But this year, the stunning Elizabeth Hurley is making a bold fashion statement for an incredibly important cause.

The model-turned-actress joined Diddy and Evelyn Lauder in hosting a benefit bash called, Give Breast Cancer the Pink Slip.

Hurley revealed that the disease has had a huge impact on her life. Not only did she lose her grandmother to breast cancer, but Hurley told us, "Two of my girlfriends, both in their 30's, both mothers, have both lost a breast to breast cancer."

"It's a frightening and hideous thing," Hurley added. "And that's why we are determined breast cancer will be given the pink slip."
