Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline welcomed their baby boy into the world shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Us Weekly reports. The couple arrived at a Los Angeles hospital early Wednesday morning, where Spears gave birth via cesarean section.

Although Spears, 23, and Federline, 27, have not yet named their son, sources tell Us Weekly that the couple plans to name him Preston Michael Spears Federline.

The buzz started at 7:30 Wednesday morning when word spread that Britney checked into a Los Angeles hospital with husband Kevin Federline by her side. This comes just a few days before Spears’ reported due date of September 19th and just four days before Britney and Kevin’s first anniversary.

Spears’ impending delivery was already the talk of Hollywood at Tuesday night’s bash to celebrate the Hollywood Reporters’ 75th anniversary.

"The O.C.’s" Melinda Clark even had some advice for the pop star. "Make sure that man knows how to get up three times a night," she advised.

Actress Darryl Hannah added, "I’m thrilled for anyone who is happy to have a baby."

This is the first child for Spears and the third for Federline, who has two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.
