Paparazzo Gets Physical While Taking Pics of Witherspoon
September 7, 2005

Reese Witherspoon had another run-in with a paparazzo Friday night, and this time the drama unfolded at Disney's California Adventure.

Witherspoon was visiting the amusement park with family and friends, including a group of children, when photographer Todd Wallace allegedly got physical while trying to take a picture, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez.

"Extra" has learned that a park employee stepped in to protect the beautiful star, only to get pushed around by Wallace.

"Somebody's aggressive behavior became criminal in nature," Martinez said. "It was more of a basketball-type movement where you throw your body onto somebody, possibly in the attempt to knock her down."

Police say Witherspoon wasn't hurt, but her run-in comes just blocks away, and only weeks after, Scarlett Johansson's paparazzi scare, when her Mercedes clipped another car in the Disneyland parking lot after being trailed from her Hollywood home.

As for Witherspoon, the incident is her second scare this year. In April she claims photographers chased her to the gated community she shares with her husband, Ryan Phillippe, and their two children. No charges were filed in that case, but in the latest case, Wallace was arrested and charges are still pending.
