For the Love of Jeans

Cindy Crawford is stunning, Denise Richards looks divine and the Victoria's Secret angels make no secret about their love for denim. And now, Elle is making it official, celebrating its 21st birthday and the magazine's long love affair with denim.

Fashion Director Dina Garcia says jeans have been a must-have for Elle covergirls like Shakira, Uma Thurman and Jessica Simpson this season, and jean lovers have lots of great looks to choose from.

"Jeans have really become a staple in a woman's wardrobe," Garcia insists. "This is about having a wardrobe of jeans."

Garcia reveals that this month's cover girl, Jennifer Lopez, loves her jeans embroidered. And for an evening look, it's all about getting embellished. "This is something you should wear to go down the red carpet," Garcia shows us. "This is an MTV moment."

But to be the best dressed -- get distressed. "The most important one for this season is the paint splattered," Garcia reveals.

But some things never go out of style, so when in doubt, stick with the classic. "It's the generic jean, and it's all about the fit," Garcia says. "That's what's important here."

So whatever your style, there's no doubt, this season's denims are to die for.
