Star Justice: Fight Time
September 30, 2004
More legal issues are heating up Hollywood today, as stars face the travails of justice on both sides of the Atlantic.
Chris Martin got a strong warning from
the British police and the paparazzi got a strong warning
from Martin's wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.
Police officially cautioned the Coldplay lead singer
for attacking a photographer who tried to snap a picture
of him and Gwyneth.
Now, for the first time, Paltrow is fighting back to protect her new baby, Apple. “It's just not right,” she insisted. “I'm doing what I can to take evidence. I'm keeping track of who they are, taking evidence of who they are.”
And there's a different kind of fight brewing in Lindsay
Lohan's family. The hot young star
should be having the time of her life, but instead,
the bitter conflict between her parents continues to
escalate. Lindsay's father, Michael, showed up to court
Wednesday, claiming his estranged wife, Dina, tried
to run him over on Tuesday night.
But Dina says it was her husband who tried to run her
over and that police had to escort her home. Michael
Lohan was back in court Thursday on charges of punching
a sanitation worker.
Finally, more bad news for Courtney
Love: While in a Beverly Hills court
for her drug possession case, lawyers tried to serve
her with yet another lawsuit. A travel agency now claims
she stiffed them out of nearly $50,000.
Love refused to take the papers, letting them drop to the floor. Meanwhile, her drug trial was pushed back to November.
