A True 'Sky Captain's' Arrival
September 15, 2004
Flanked by gigantic robots, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law
and Angelina Jolie received a true hero's welcome Tuesday
night, at the premiere of their sci-fi adventure flick
about mechanical menaces trying to take over the world.
Leading lady Gwyneth was thrilled for her big night, admitting, "I never though I'd be in a movie like this, and I'm very excited."
But the reason Gwyneth appeared to be glowing had more to do with her new role as mom to baby Apple. "I'm so happy and in love with her," she told us. "It's the best."
And it was a family night all around -- gorgeous co-star Angelina and leading man Jude couldn't stop talking about their kids either. "Jude and I had our babies [on the set]," Jolie told us. "They were playing together."
"The kids were there all the time," Law added.
And while the kids played, Jude told us he loved working with his two luscious leading ladies. "I died and went to heaven," he admitted.
What Jude doesn't like to admit is that he's become a big-screen heartthrob himself, as currently showcased on the cover of Vanity Fair.
"I don't know," he told us. "I think if one wakes up thinking of one's self as a sex symbol, you're in trouble."
"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" soars into theaters nationwide this Friday.
