Red Carpet Fashions Heat Up 58th Annual Emmy Awards
August 29, 2006
Bright colors, plunging necklines, lavish lace and dazzling diamonds dominated the sizzling stars on the red-hot Emmy Awards red carpet in Los Angeles Sunday night.
Evangeline Lilly proved purple reined, and a super slim Leah Remini rocked the power color as well.
Cheryl Hines was the talk of Tinseltown with her eye-popping jeweled Chakra gown, who joked, "I brought sexy back."
The gorgeous "Grey's Anatomy" gals also garnered lots of buzz. Sandra Oh shimmied into an asymmetrical Vera Wang gown, off-set with funky, chunky necklaces.
"When I put this on, I was like, 'I look like a duchess of a small country!'" Oh joked.
While co-star Katherine Heigl looked like a 50's starlet in beige beaded Escada, Ellen Pompeo showed off her sexy "Anatomy" in a bustier-style stunner.
"Housewife" hottie Felicity Huffman rocked the red carpet, and Eva Longoria's love Tony Parker loved his girl's plunging neckline. "He's looking down at my chest," Eva joked.
The ever-thoughtful Seal helped his stunning, pregnant supermodel wife Heidi Klum pick her one-shoulder Michael Kors dress.
"It's always a challenge trying to find something that's as beautiful as she is," he said.
The big money, winner's circle pick goes to talk show diva Tyra Banks. "My dress cost $50,000," the former supermodel revealed.
Virginia Madsen's dress proved risky, and she admitted to "Extra," "I know I kind of took a risk tonight."
As did "24's" Kim Raver, who taped everything down to avoid a wardrobe malfunction.
But the question remains: who was the best dressed at the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards? While the "Housewives" were all close to taking home the top honors, this year's Best Dressed Award goes to "Grey's Anatomy's" Katharine Heigl in Escada.
