‘Extra:' The Expert of Emmy Swag
August 25, 2006

The hottest stars in Hollywood enjoyed a night out Thursday at "Extra's" Emmy Suite at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

Josh Radnor and Jason Segel of "How I Met Your Mother" collected a bundle of extravagant gifts, as did comic Kathy Griffin and Alyson Hannigan, who joked, "How can you not have fun when they give you free stuff?"

Hollywood's stars scored free stuff that included instant Giorgio Armani makeovers and even spa treatments by Inspirations Mobile Wellness Spa.

Jai Rodriguez of "Queer Eye" and the new FOX series "Celebrity Duets" also picked up a nice pair of crocs. "They're all the rage," he said. "You wear them with jeans."

Our celebrity guests dined on delicacies prepared by Bravo's "Top Chef" contestant Dave Martin and sipped fine stags leap district wine like Clos Du Val.

Also indulging in the goodies were Greg Grunberg of "Heroes," Maria Conchita, Joy Lauren of "Desperate Housewives," and Paige Davis loved our customized flower arrangement by Speaking Roses.

"Your picture on a rose," she exclaimed.

The stars also got "Extra" gift bags from Jewels and Pinstripes, and they signed our specially commissioned "Extra" artwork by Romero Britto.

"It's an interesting range of products so everyone who comes in has a little something for them," revealed our very own event planner JL Pomeroy of the J Line Group, who declared this "Extra" pre-Emmy bash a smashing success.
