Conan O'Brien Prepares for Emmy Night
August 23, 2006
Hollywood is getting ready for the Emmy Awards, and "Extra" went along for a ride with Conan O'Brien, who is returning to host the show for the second time.
"Think magic," Conan said. "There's going to be a lot of animals and magic. I'm going sort of with a cirque de sole feel this year. I'll be in a unitard, and I'll be doing a lot of yoga."
Conan revealed he's taking dead aim at some major stars for TV's golden night. "Anyone who turns up in late August wearing formal black deserves to be mocked," he insisted.
Three-time nominee Matthew Perry and Emmy winner Bradley Whitford will be taking a break from their new NBC series, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," to hit the Emmy stage. "Matt and I are presenting, actually," Whitford revealed. "So, we have something to get nervous about that night."
Meanwhile, as the gowns are picked and the parties are prepped for all over Tinseltown, the stars can stop at the Hearts on Fire Diamond Indulgence Lounge for a little five-star pampering where diamonds abound.
"You have diamond manicures here as well," revealed Hearts on Fire's Gilly Strauss.
Strauss said the famous faces will also find a few breathtaking rocks to borrow for the red carpet walk.
