Teri Hatcher Tells All in New Book
August 30, 2005
America can't wait to see what happens to Teri Hatcher's character next season on "Desperate Housewives," but the actress isn't talking.
She is talking, however, about her private life, including being a single mom and sex symbol at age 40, in her new tell-all book. "I say I'm writing the book so I can read it and remind myself how I'm supposed to behave," Hatcher said.
In the book (the working title is currently "Burnt Toast"), Hatcher talks about getting a second chance at fame on "Housewives." "What happened to me this year is sort of a one-in-a-million thing," Hatcher insisted. "And the fact that it happened to me when I was 40, as opposed to 38 or 42, just makes it seem much more dramatic than it is."
Adding to the drama are the upcoming Emmy Awards, where Hatcher is up for Best Actress along with co-stars Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman. "We decided the day we got nominated, all five of us, it's just going to be a big party for us, no matter what," Hatcher said. "That's what we're really looking forward to."
So what will the hot "Housewife" be wearing? "I haven't picked it out yet," she revealed. "But I have a couple of choices."
Meanwhile, the countdown continues to the new season of "Desperate Housewives," which begins September 25 on ABC.
