The man Olivia Newton-John loved for almost a decade has vanished, and now "Extra" knows where the star is as the world searches for her missing lover, Patrick McDermott.

Newton-John is staying at an exclusive Southern California spa, waiting anxiously for some news.

McDermott vanished without a trace on June 30 after an all-night fishing trip on his boat. Some have speculated that he wanted to disappear.

Elaine Lampert, who played tennis with McDermott, told us, "I can't believe that. None of us can believe that. I understand Olivia is very saddened."

McDermott is a cameraman whom Newton-John met nine years ago, while she was filming a commercial. Now, the actress is pleading for the public's help to find the man she loves.
