Birds and Bees for Angelina Jolie?
August 31, 2004
She's got a new movie flying into the theaters and an adorable baby boy at home. So is Angelina Jolie now ready to adopt more children? "People keep asking me that, if Madd's brother or sister is on the way," Jolie admitted.
There's no question why people are asking: Angelina's such a devoted mother that she often brought her 3-year-old adopted son, Maddox, with her on the set of her new movie, "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow," in which she plays a hotshot navy flygirl who helps Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law save the world from invasion.
Angelina revealed that Maddox was a kind of secret inspiration for her colorful role. "I had the good fortune that my character was so out there in a really cool way," Angelina explained. "With the eye patch and the accent, there was no other way but to completely pretend I was this person and be silly again and be bold and be a kid again."
So was little Maddox freaked out by mom's eye patch and accent? "I thought he was going to be," said Angelina. "But what he doesn't like me in is an evening gown, everything else is fine. Because evening gown means I'm leaving and he can't come."
Not long ago, Angelina told us she wanted to adopt a football team of kids. So is she ready to start? To this Angelina said, "That's the thing with me; I could travel somewhere tomorrow and go to an orphanage and something feels right, or it could take me six months. I'm not sure, but I'm always open to that."
Stay tuned to "Extra" for the continuing adventures of Angelina Jolie and her very own "World of Tomorrow."
