Extra! Extra! For the Kids
August 27, 2004

She’ll soon be saving the world in "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow," now Angelina Jolie is teaming up with National Geographic to save the Earth, as the guest editor for its kids magazine, "Amazing World Cultures."

"My hope is that kids will look at this issue and be excited about the world," Angelina told us.

Look for this special issue of National Geographic Kids on newsstands September 7th.

Meanwhile, the Latin Grammys brought its stars to kids, as nominee Roselyn Sanchez visited a Los Angeles high school to mentor and talk to teens about the music industry.

"I'm very happy to be here," Roselyn reported. "Music is an amazing thing. It’s so beautiful, it doesn't matter what language."

You can catch Roselyn and the rest of the nominees when the Latin Grammys air September 1st on CBS.

And David Duchovny’s doing some world saving of his own, as he battles aliens in the action thriller videogame "Area 51."

"The kind of realistic detail of the players and of what you’re looking at on the screen is amazing," said David.

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson also co-stars as an out-of-this-world character. "I've always felt like an alien," Marilyn told us. "I've portrayed that character myself."

"Area 51" will be available from game giant Midway for Playstation and X-Box early next year.

And finally, our very own hard-working Dayna Devon played fill-in co-host on FOX’s "Good Day Live," with Steve Edwards and Dorothy Lucy.

"I don't know how you guys do it, this schedule kills me!" exclaimed Dayna. "I think I’ll keep my day job."
