Couples News: Hitched August
17, 2004
It was a weekend of weddings. Not only did hotel heiress
Nicky Hilton say "I
do" to her millionaire boyfriend, Todd
Meister, in a surprise ceremony, but
another hot Hollywood couple made the leap to marital
bliss.
She plays Ben Stiller's
mother in the upcoming movie, "Meet the Fockers,"
and now, Barbara Streisand
has a brand new daughter-in-law of her own. This weekend
in a super-secret ceremony, Streisand's step-son, Josh
Brolin, married his beautiful fiancé,
Oscar-nominee Diane Lane.
Us Weekly's Dina Sansing told us the nuptials took place on Brolin's 97-acre ranch in picturesque San Luis Obispo, California. "It was an extremely private affair," Sansing said.
The couple got engaged July 4, 2003, after Streisand played matchmaker. And Lane was still gushing when she sat down with "Extra" months ago and told us what she felt like when Brolin proposed. "I fell down, I really fell down," she said then.
Meanwhile, we also uncovered a photo of Nicky Hilton and new hubbie Todd, signing their wedding certificate. The pair shocked Hollywood by exchanging vows in the wee hours Sunday morning in Las Vegas.
The Hiltons tell us they are, "Delighted about the marriage," and Nicky's sister, Paris, seems to be all smiles, telling us, "I'm very happy for her."
The newlyweds have been spotted in Malibu, but there's no word yet on where they might honeymoon.
And finally, it looks like Jennifer
Lopez and Marc Anthony
can relax. Friday, the couple learned he's not the father
of Elizabeth Leyva's baby. Leyva had filed a paternity
suit against Anthony claiming he'd fathered her baby
boy.
Leyva claims she met the pop star in 1999 when she was just 16 and that their affair was no one-night stand, but the latest lab results clear Anthony -- for the second time; his attorney released a statement saying, "After more than a year of false accusations and harassment, Marc looks forward to putting this episode behind him and moving on with his life."
