A Whirlwind Vegas Wedding
August 16, 2004
Paris Hilton's' little sister Nicky married mega-rich Manhattan money manager Todd Meister at 3 AM Sunday morning in Las Vegas, and "Extra" was with the beaming bride and groom just hours before the "I Do's." So who is the groom? And how did it all play out?
"Extra" has learned the newly-married couple was partying the night away at Stuff magazine's third Annual Casino Weekend at the Palms Hotel, alongside Paris and Nicole Richie, before Nicky and Todd married at the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.
Chapel owner Cliff Evarts showed us the $50 temporary
rings he offers happy couples. "And they can use
these until they get something more elaborate, more
expensive," he told us.
But will Nicky's wedding end like Britney Spears' 55-hour
Vegas marriage earlier this year? Us magazine's Caroline
Schaeffer told us she doesn't think that will be the
case. "They've been friends for a long time and
the romance developed recently."
And Nicky's mom, Kathy, is reportedly happy with the romance and her new son-in-law. "She thinks Todd is one of the brightest, smartest, funniest, greatest guys," Schaefer revealed.
And the Hiltons don't have to worry about a pre-nup, 33-year-old Meister has money of his own. The former playboy reportedly owns a private plane and has homes on Park Ave and in Palm Beach. "It's not going to be a situation where either one is really a gold digger," Schaefer maintained.
There's no word yet on where the couple will honeymoon, but with the Hilton name, we're sure the newlyweds can find a suite anywhere in the world.
For more details of Nicky and Todd's wedding escapade, including before and after pictures, don't miss Monday's edition of "Extra."
