Temperatures are soaring, but they’re nothing compared to the romances heating up Hollywood this summer. Check out the stars who are stepping out with their off-screen love interests

Penélope Cruz and Matthew McConaughey met while making the upcoming film, "Sahara," and Us Weekly’s Katrina Szish told us it’s rumored the two have been hanging out since the film wrapped.

"I think Penélope and Matthew are also at the stage in their careers and in their lives where they are ready for a serious hot romance," Szish told us.

Scarlett Johansson and Jared Leto have recently been spotted walking together in New York City. And although Scarlett’s spokesperson only gives the romance rumors a "no comment," Szish explained, "They’re both very sexy, and they’re pretty much an ideal match."

Then there’s 23-year-old "Honey" and "Dark Angel" actress Jessica Alba and 30-year-old Yankees short stop Derek Jeter. Although the pair seems to have tried to keep their relationship top secret, Szish tells us, "They seem like a very real, solid couple."

Meanwhile,in a romance a bit further along in its development, "Beverly Hills 90210" alum Tori Spelling and Charlie Shanian engaged in a summer wedding and an Italian honeymoon. When we caught up with Tori at CA Boom, a festival of contemporary design, she told us her favorite moment of the 1920’s inspired, $1 million wedding was a surprise serenade.

"My mom got Michael Feinstein to perform for us," she revealed. "Then we just went all over and ate and drank our way through Italy."

Lovebirds Lindsay Lohan and Wilmer Valderrama have been spending the summer balancing their busy schedules. "We see each other just about every day," Lohan told us. "When you care, you always make time, and you know, I think we’re in a really interesting time."

What’s really interesting is the ring that Lindsay’s been seen wearing -- but don’t jump to conclusions: Szish told us, "It’s a promise ring, a ‘hey listen we’re definitely together’ kind of ring."
