Bring Your Babies to Work
August 13, 2004 Not
only did Denise Richards give us her first interview
since having her baby, but it was perhaps one of her
most candid ever, as the gorgeous new mom told us about
getting back in shape, heading back to work and how
life has changed for her and her husband, Charlie Sheen.
When we caught up with Denise, she was wtih Dean Cain,
in Montreal, on the set of their new Lifetime original
movie, "I Do -- But I Don't," about an unlucky-in-love
wedding planner, and she told us she and Dean both spend
lots of time thinking about their own children during
filming.
"We're so thrilled to have her, and she's really
changed our lives," Denise told us of her new bundle
of joy. "But it's nice we're in a business where
we can take our kids to work. Now I go in my trailer
and I go, ‘My God, I've got all this baby stuff.’ Before,
it was candles burning, whatever. Now it's diaper bags."
And it seems Charlie, who’s never far from his little
girl, is a real hands-on dad. "He was out feeding
her in the trailer when I was out shooting," Denise
revealed. "I knew he would be a great dad, but
we've both said we've fallen in love with each even
more now that the baby is here."
Denise looked fantastic, so we had to ask her secret
to getting back in shape so fast. "I couldn't work
out for six weeks and then I started working out again,"
she explained.
"It’s amazing how she’s bounced back," Dean
told us.
Dean's 4-year-old son also spent time on the set, and
as they say, boys will be boys. "He drove his bike
through the hallways of the hotel," Cain remembered.
"I put a little bell on the bike, and everybody
started coming out of the rooms. They thought it was
a fire alarm, and I'm like, ‘I'm sorry."
Sounds like both Dean and Denise really have the celebrity
parenthood thing down.
