Versatile Style
August 13, 2004
Heidi Klum has some ideas. The 30-year-old supermodel
is pregnant and due to give birth next spring, but Klum
was still up to introducing "Extra" to one of
the hottest new fashion designers, Loidian Cordero.
Cordero’s daring new designs are sensual, silky and ultra
sexy. Made from flowing silk jersey fabric, the dresses
capture the essence of everyday glamour. Her line was
inspired by her own desire to look and feel great in a
simple, extremely form flattering dress, made of the richest,
most luxurious, sensuous fabrics.
"You feel like you’re wearing pajamas or your
favorite T-shirt," Cordero says. "It’s a combination
of feminine sensuality and comfort."
Quintessential city-girl Cordero is a 15-year veteran
of the fashion industry, with a history of working with
big names like Versace, Gucci and Calvin to make women
feel beautiful. She was also Jennifer Lopez’s personal
stylist.
Today Cordero dresses supermodels like Heidi Klum. "The
dresses are very simple but they have something special
integrated into them," Cordero revealed.
A sexy mix of Caribbean heat and modern chic, the "Cordero"
line debuted to rave reviews during last Fall’s Fashion
Week in New York City, Cordero’s home town.
The tops cost about $150 dollars and the dresses retail
from about $300 to $400.
