Star Sightings: Date Night?
August 12, 2004
From a rocking concert to the late night party scene, and then an early New York interview, "Extra's" got your round-up of where the stars were spotted -- and who they were spotted with.
She's TV's next "Bachelorette,"
and on Thursday morning, Jen Schefft
had a date with Regis and
Kelly. Only "Extra" was there
backstage as the talk turned to Schefft's "Bachelor"
ex, Andrew Firestone and Regis asked the blonde beauty,
"Who broke up with who?"
"It was completely mutual," Schefft replied,
but Kelly had her own opinion: "I'm going to tell
you what happened. He said, 'I'm not really ready for
the commitment of marriage,' and she said, 'get out.'"
The 26-year-old Chicago native stood strong despite the interrogation, and even took some romantic advice from Regis about picking her men. "Tell the network you want all of them," he recommended.
Jada Pinkett Smith may have earned
the title "The Fresh Princess" Wednesday night,
when her band, Wicked Wisdom, rocked The Grove in Los
Angeles. Jada's "Collateral" co-star Tom
Cruise even rolled in on his bike to
hang with Pinkett Smith and her star husband Will
Smith, who couldn't keep his hands
off the mic -- or his smitten wife.
Meanwhile, Matthew Perry
hit the party scene with Paris and
Nicky Hilton to celebrate
music producer Pharrell Williams'
Reebok shoe line, Ice Cream. But Pharrell admitted his
target audience might not include us all: "It's
$225, so you have to be able to afford the shoe first
and foremost. I just wanted to bring the joy of the
two worlds that I shared as a child: skating and hip-hop."
And while Nicky quickly split the scene and motored
off with "Malcolm in the Middle" star Frankie
Muniz, Paris spent time arm-in-arm
with rocker and good friend Fred Durst.
We've learned the duo is planning to make music together,
but last night they revealed they were just looking
for their car. "Paris got crazy, she got kicked
out," Durst joked.
