Star Sightings: Tom Celebrates & Julie Andrews Sings Again
August 9, 2004
As always, the celebrities were out and about this
weekend, and "Extra" had them covered. From
Whitney Houston's Hollywood appearance to Tom Cruise's
star-studded big bash, we were on the scene.
Whitney Houston was all smiles at one
of her first Hollywood appearances since leaving rehab,
as she, along with Bobby Brown and
daughter Bobbi Kristina, attended the premiere of "The
Princess Diaries 2;" Whitney's one of the movie's
producers.
Marcia Gay Harden, Raven
and Joe Pantoliano
joined the film's stars Anne Hathaway,
Julie Andrews, and
Hector Elizondo on
the red carpet, where all the talk was about Andrews
and her brief return to singing in the movie.
"She was unbelievable, nobody can carry a song
like her," Hathaway told us.
And Andrews added, "I'm thrilled to be doing it."
We also found out there may already be a "Princess
Diaries 3" in the works.
Tom Cruise was one
of the headliners at the Scientology's Celebrity Centre
35th Anniversary Gala in Hollywood this weekend. John
Travolta and wife Kelly
Preston, Brandy, Leah
Remini and Jenna Elfman
also attended the event.
Sexy Pam Anderson
looked stunning at this weekend's signing of her new
book, "Star: A Novel." Although Anderson's
first book is fiction, she admitted much of the book
was based on her wild life, lovers and sexual experiences.
"It's a sexy book," she confessed. "Maybe
people might be able to pick some things out of there
that are similar to my life." Pam also revealed
that she's planning a sequel, and is launching her own
clothing line in the fall."
Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath
guest stars on FOX TV's "North Shore" Monday
night, giving Brooke Burns'
character a shot of courage to deal with her love life
problems. Check it out for yourself Monday at 8 p.m.
