One on One with Michael Bolton
July 19, 2006
Michael Bolton and fiancée Nicollette Sheridan are making sweet music together, both figuratively and literally.
The sexy "Desperate Housewife" makes her professional debut with Michael on his new album, "Bolton Swings Sinatra."
So how'd the blonde bombshell fair? "She was a nervous wreck, but she just stepped up and overcame it," Bolton admitted. "And that beautiful voice came out."
But don't expect this dynamic duo to become the next Sonny and Cher anytime soon. "We've talked about it," Bolton said. "Again, she's nervous about singing. Maybe we'll do it, but it's going to have to be a very special occasion."
A special occasion like their wedding, perhaps? "You never know," he confessed. "A wedding: now that's a special occasion."
Speaking of which, when do Nicollette and Michael plan on tying the knot? "Let's see… we're not too busy right now," he joked.
All kidding aside, Michael said Nicollette won't become Mrs. Bolton before the New Year: "We're actually carving out time just to spend together."
Right now, Michael is busy following in the footsteps of Frank Sinatra, and he revealed how it felt to bolt those famous tunes.
"It's like getting up to bat after Babe Ruth. You still have to hit it out," he said. "You can't be concerned if it lands as far on the railway tracks out of the stadium."
But in our eyes, Michael hit a home run, as he traded in his rock band for a big band.
"It was different," he said of the decision. "But it was a lot of what I was looking for. It was exciting."
