Red-Hot Stars Use Their Big Names to Help Others
July 6, 2006

The red-hot Eva Mendes took a bite out of the Big Apple at the 8th Annual Art Party.

She stunned the crowd in her gorgeous ember, silk chiffon Calvin Klein collection gown. "I love this," Mendes said of her beautiful frock. "It's my favorite new things; it's the perfect combination of art and design."

Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Chloe Sevigny were also stunning in Calvin Klein as they helped raise money for the Whitney Museum.

In Beverly Hills, a bevy of A-listers, from knockout Cindy Crawford to hunky Adam Brody, shined for the re-opening of the ultra-chic Sofitel Hotel. Cindy's hubby, club owner Randy Gerber, runs the Stone Rose Lounge inside.

And according to Daisy Fuentes, celebrities will be lining up. "Of course this will be a regular hot spot," she promised. "No doubt about that."

While Beverly Hills buzzed with A-list beauties, the sexy Jamie Foxx struck a pose for a whole new role.

Only "Extra" got a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Oscar winner trying his hand at modeling for the August issue of Essence magazine, in which he poses in a white suit and pinstripes.

Back on the East Coast, Kristin Davis showed up to find some puppy love in Washington D.C. The former "Sex in the City" cutie brought her furry friends to the Capitol to try and raise awareness for homeless pets.

Only we were with Kristin at the Purina Pro-Plan Rally to Rescue, where she is more than just a spokesperson. "Just this year I got a mother and five puppies from the South Central shelter in Los Angeles," Davis revealed.
