Countdown to the Emmy Awards
July 5, 2006

Only "Extra" was along for the ritzy ride as Hollywood hit the South of France for the Monte Carlo Television Festival, where the stars partied with Prince Albert while anxiously awaiting the big Emmy nomination announcement back home in Tinseltown.

Insiders are buzzing about a Jaime Pressly nomination for "My Name is Earl." But the starlet is staying humble. "Either way I'm happy," Pressly told us. "I know we all say it's nice to be nominated but to me it's just nice to be even discussed."

"NCSI" star Michael Weatherly hopes his character's "eccentricities" might land him on the list of nominees Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, "Grey's Anatomy" is no doubt headed for a golden Emmy night, but the sun-kissed cast didn't seem to care when they talked with their co-star and our special "Extra" correspondent, Kate Walsh.

"Trophies are very nice, but this is even nicer for us to hang out and to have fun," the cast admitted.

"Medium" star Patricia Arquette was having fun giving "Extra" a ground tour of Monte Carlo's famed grand casino.

And she says after winning an Emmy last year for her starring role, she's not worried about getting golden news on Thursday morning. "I was surprised I got nominated ever, and I won, which is mind-boggling," she said.

You can bet we'll be first with all the golden Emmy news from Hollywood on Thursday, right here on "Extra!"
