Wahlberg Returns to his Roots in 'Four Brothers'
July 25, 2005
Mark Wahlberg is out for revenge in the new crime drama "Four Brothers," and he's playing a role that actually took him back to his crime-filled childhood, where he wreaked havoc on the mean streets of Massachusetts.
So for his new movie, was it hard for Wahlberg to tap into something he's grown out of? "Not at all," he told us. "It's always been in the reserve tank, you know. I certainly didn't want to forget where I came from, and it's good to remind myself of where I could have been."
Luckily for Mark, he was able to turn his life around,
and he's now giving his 2-year-old daughter, Ella Rae,
the kind of childhood he never had.
"It's the best," Wahlberg said of being a father. "I have this overwhelming responsibility to give her the things that I got that I didn't learn to appreciate until later on."
These days, Wahlberg is definitely appreciating the
good life. He's the creator of the HBO Emmy-nominated
hit "Entourage," and he even shared a little
real-life "Entourage" story about his days
as a Calvin Klein underwear model.
"They'd send me cases of them," he recalled. "So I'd wear them once and throw them on the hotel floor. And my friend would pick them up and get them cleaned, and he'd be like rocking them. And they didn't fit him!"
Well, there you have it, possibly more than you ever wanted to know about Mark Wahlberg!
"Entourage" airs on HBO Sunday nights and "Four Brothers" blasts into theaters August 12th.
