Pitt Makes First Public Appearance Since Health Scare
July 20, 2005
Brad Pitt showed everyone he's no worse for wear, as
he made his first public appearance since battling viral
meningitis at the Hollywood Foreign Press's annual luncheon
at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Pitt joined Sally Field and Golden Globe nominee Emmy
Rossum for the charity event.
"It's my great honor to accept this contribution
today," Pitt said to the audience. "On behalf
of the Film Foundation, I offer my deepest gratitude
to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and to thank
you for your ongoing support. And I want to say, thanks
for the money!"
Meanwhile, People magazine Executive Editor Peter Castro
says Jolie headed for Los Angeles as soon as baby Zahara
was released from a New York hospital. "Clean bill
of health, little Zahara is fine," Castro said.
"She's in LA with mommy and also with Brad Pitt
because Angelina flew right to LA and immediately went
to Brad Pitt's house."
People also says that Angelina was also suffering from
a virus, but it isn't keeping her down. Jolie and the
entire family strolled the Malibu streets earlier this
week, and "Extra" sources say she may be enrolling
son Maddox in a private school near Brad's home.
So while they all may be feeling under the weather, it looks like Brad, Angelina and her new family are growing closer every day.
