Lucas' Resting Place
July 4, 2005
You have just entered the house that "Star Wars" built -- the private world of George Lucas. The legendary Hollywood filmmaker, who is reportedly worth $3 billion, invited "Extra" to his lavish Skywalker Ranch in northern Californiaís Marin County.
We got an exclusive tour of his movie and art treasures as the sixth and last "Star Wars" movie, "Revenge of the Sith," continues to rake in the big bucks at the box office.
Meanwhile, young star Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin Skywalker, had a revelation of his own as soon as we sat down in Georgeís living room: "This is the couch I did my first screen test on."
And George was so impressed that he cast the previously unknown Canadian actor in his last "Star Wars" movie five years ago. "One of my favorite parts of the whole ëStar Warsí experience has been getting to be part of his world and watch him work," Christensen told us.
That world also built in part by the "Indiana Jones" franchise. So will there be a fourth?
"Hopefully it will happen," Lucas told us. "We're getting closer. Harrison is really the driving force behind this."
