Lohan Wants Police to Charge Paparazzi
Last week, a paparazzo allegedly smashed into Lindsay
Lohanís car while trying to snap a picture. Now the
actress is joining forces with Justin Timberlake, Cameron
Diaz and other A-list stars to stop the aggressive shutterbugs.
The stars want police, who have opened an investigation into the practices of frenzied photographers, to start charging the paparazzi with felonies instead of misdemeanors.
But Lindsay said the problems with the press, even the recent accident, havenít soured her on stardom. "This is what I love to do," she insisted. "So I'm willing to take everything that comes with it."
But Lindsay did want to do some "Extra" Rumor Control to set the record straight about everything from her love life to her controversial weight loss.
"Youíre put under this microscope," Lohan insisted. "Especially with me right now, Iím such an easy target."
Lindsayís incredible-shrinking figure has made her the target of wild speculation. In the past few months, she's become the center of anorexia rumors. "You take it with a grain of salt," Lindsay said of the stories. "The people that are surrounded by me and that I care about, they know the truth, and I know the truth."
And Lindsay insisted the truth is she does not have an eating disorder. "Itís not like I donít eat or anything," she said. "I wouldn't put myself in harmís way. I wouldn't do anything like that. Iím not going to jeopardize my health in any way. I'm growing up and getting to that age where Iím losing my fat."
And this summer, Lindsay takes on a more grown-up starring role. Sheís bringing back the ë60ís "Love Bug" franchise with her revved-up comedy, "Herbie: Fully Loaded." But it's her upcoming movie, "Just My Luck," that has fueled all new romance rumors, linking Lindsay to Christian Slater, Bruce Willis and Jake Gyllenhaal.
"Bruce actually produced, ëJust My Luck,í so thatís just silly," Lohan told us. "Christian Slater, thatís just silly, he was actually visiting someone on the set. And Jake Gyllenhaal is a friend."
Lindsay races into theaters with "Herbie: Fully Loaded" on June 22nd.
