Lindsay Lohan is headed back to the big screen in a rare and raw role opposite the one and only Meryl Streep in "A Prairie Home Companion."
"Playing Meryl Streep's daughter and Lily Tomlin's niece was amazing," Lohan admitted. "They are such iconic figures. I never expected to be with them onscreen, and just to have that on film for me, for the rest of my life is amazing."
"A Prairie Home Companion" is a fictionalized account of Garrison Keillor's award-winning radio show from the hot act known as The Johnson Sisters. And the roles required these hot stars to belt out a few tunes.
"I wish I'd have known they wouldn't have fixed some of the singing," Streep laughed.
But Tomlin told us director Bob Altman wouldn't have it any other way. "I called him before I came out, and I said, ‘You know, Bob, I'm not sure I can sing the harmony that well. I'm not that experienced a singer.' He said, ‘Well, if you get here and you can't sing that well, that's just how it will have to be.'"
Meryl, Lily and Lindsay sing their way into theaters June 9.
