Paul McCartney, Wife Split with 'Sadness'
May 17, 2006
It's a hard day's night for Sir Paul McCartney and his wife, Heather Mills McCartney. "Extra" has the all-new breakup bombshell, and wait until you hear how much of Paul's $1.5 billion fortune Heather stands to gain.
It seems that Paul didn't want Heather to sign a pre-nup. "We don't believe there is a pre-nup," said People magazine's Robin Micheli. "She could stand to get quite a lot of money."
With just a month to go until their fourth anniversary, Heather could walk away with at least $400 million of Paul's $1.5 billon.
It's a sad ending to the couple's romance, which started at one of Heather's Landmine charity events. "He kept leaving messages on my voice mail," Heather revealed.
Heather, a former model, helped Paul love again just four years after losing his previous wife Linda to breast cancer. The couple has a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice.
So what went wrong? "A source close to Paul thinks they had a big row and he said, 'I'm out of here,'" Micheli said.
The two have reportedly been living apart for weeks. But Wednesday, McCartney told "Extra" the media caused the bust-up, calling it a "constant intrusion into our private lives."
